What is the setter/defense clinic?
This program was created to give setters and libero's (or defensive specialists) an opportunity to advance their individual skill-sets . The two night clinic will have a separate program for "Advanced" athletes. Both sessions will be drill/technique focused, with the goal for each athlete to have the feeling of a small group/private type lesson.
This program best serves all athletes, but due to the skill oriented nature, may be best for those who have participated on a team/in a clinic before. The general group is open to any and all athletes (aged 12-18). The Advanced group is best for those with 2.5+ years of setting/defensive position experience, and already have the basic abilities and techniques required of the position. Depending on the size of our group, we will break up according to skill/age. We reserve the right to move someone if they signed up for an inappropriate level.
An athlete may sign up for both a setter and defensive session, but unless a very experienced varsity/club level athlete, would not fit into the advanced group of both.
