Shore Volleyball Academy Girls U14/U15 Team Info
Starting this year, Shore Volleyball Academy will be hosting a Girl's U-14 and U-15 Club Team. Tryouts will be held in August and November. About 70-80% of training team spots will be offered in August, with a follow up supplemental tryout in November. Athletes who are not offered a spot in August are encouraged to try out again in November, once Fall seasons and clinics are finished. For those who are not offered a spot on a club team will still have opportunities to work with us through either our clinics or our winter "club alternative program". Our seasoned Directors with college experience run our clinics and club alternative program, so these options are still excellent opportunities to improve your game with high level coaching.

These travel club teams are for girls who were born July 1st, of 2012 and later (U-14) and born July 1st, 2011 and later (U-15). As these teams will compete in formal tournaments, including AAU tournaments, there are no exceptions to these age definitions. Based on tryouts, Shore Volleyball Academy may offer a U-13 club team as well. This decision will be determined on the level of tryouts.
Our travel teams will be developmental based. This means our #1 priority is to individually improve the athletes on our teams, while sharing our passion for the sport. Athletics is about more than just sport- alongside volleyball skills, we will focus on cultivating an environment where your child can grow in leadership, sportsmanship, mental toughess, and accountability, while working on a team.
Tentative Schedule (subject to change and may have additional practices/opportunities):
These teams will be based out of Ocean county (with our home sites being primarily Superdome- Brick, with Georgian Court University serving as an additional location). The "club season" will run from December through early May. Our teams will participate in 4-5 "Single Day" competitions, and 1 "Multi-Day" tournament. The multi-day tournament will likely be in Atlantic City, NJ, with the single day tournaments in NJ. Depending on availability, club teams may have to travel to Pennsylvania for additional tournament opportunties. Pennsylvania tournaments will only be used when other NJ options are not available. There is also the possibility that a second multi-day tournament may need to be included if single day opportunities are limited. The full schedule will be announced later in the Fall when available.
A typical "tournament" has 4-5 teams oper court, which means teams only "play" 50% or less of the games and the other 50% of the games are waiting or working, while you are there for 10-12+ hours. Shore Volleyball Academy is looking to host "smaller" tournaments which we hope will include more playing, less "waiting" (ex. 6 teams on 2 courts).
Practices will be roughly two times per week, in addition to a handful of other bonus practices (seperate from the assigned practice night) to get additional training hours , especially within the first half of the season. These opportunities may be team or position related (ex. a practice date where setters come at one time, libero's another time, etc.)

Included in the Price:
- Opportunity for full participation on the club team. This includes all competitions, practices, and additional training opportunities.
- Uniform Kit (2 jerseys, warm-up shirt, bag). Athletes may wear any plain black spandex or shorts they would like as a part of their uniform.
- K&K Supplemental insurance to your AAU Extended membership insurance
Not included: AAU Athlete Extended Membership ($24)- which must be completed by each member of our club teams.
Shore Volleyball Academy has 5 "Head Coaches" selected for this upcoming year, which will cover all of the teams formed. This program will still be run with the assistance of our other Directors and Court Coaches who rotate through sessions.

What are the payment plan options?:
The cost for the 2026-27 club season is $2,250. All participants must accept their roster selection by completing the registration form, and making the deposit of $550 (by card, check or cash).
There is a 3% credit card fee applied to all card payments.
Payment Plan 1 (includes $75 DISCOUNT):
Total: $2175
$550 Deposit due upon acceptance of a roster position.
Balance of $1625 paid by 11/1/26 by check or cash.
Payment Plan 2 (no discount):
Total: $2250 + CC Fee.
$550 Deposit due upon acceptance of a roster position.
Payment + Credit Card fee of $550 on 11/1/26, 12/1/26, and 1/1/26. These will be set up to charge your card automatically through our registration system. If you would prefer to pay by check or cash to avoid the 3% CC fee, payments must be received one week prior to the date your card is set to be charged.
What do the "names" for club teams mean (National Team, Regional Team, Premier team, etc.?):
The names have no meaning beyond being a way for clubs to differentiate the cost and number of tournaments the team may participate in. Most large clubs tend to have their better coaches with their more expensive teams. To college coaches recruiting high school juniors and seniors, the team names mean nothing.
What "commitment" level do Shore Volleyball Academy club teams require? (National Team, Regional Team, Premier team, etc.?):
Generally speaking, volleyball would need to be the "priority" sport. Participation on other school or sports teams would depend on the schedule of those teams. Shore Volleyball Academy intends to have 11 athletes per team, so tournaments and/or practices would be impacted if several athletes were to miss. Communication is 100% the priority, and a requirement for our club families.
